What is Raspberry Pi? Intro to Me!

The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. It’s capable of doing everything you’d expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing the internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, word-processing, and playing games.

What’s more, the Raspberry Pi  has the ability to interact with the outside world, and has been used in a wide array of digital maker projects, from music machines and parent detectors to weather stations and tweeting birdhouses with infra-red cameras. We want to see the Raspberry Pi being used by kids all over the world to learn to program and understand how computers work.

I finish BSCS in 2004, gone thru windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 8, 10, MacOS but Linux was always alwasy out of my sight maybe because it too convenient to use popular OS, but ever since I was introduce to Raspberry Pi i realize its power! I was so amaze on how small Pi is! the first time I held it I was like. This is it? this is a computer? where the heck is the chassis? the power supply? the HDD? the endless wires? and the main question is What OS does it run? I really become so curious that i have to dig in, because after knowing it runs Raspbian which is a distribution of Linux. I was very skeptical how it will handle my needs, it was really a humbling experience I doubted something that I haven't really given a shot. I was thinking things like will it plug and play my wireless mouse? which is really a stupid thing for me to think but it does happen and I really regret it now.

And then I was accidentally introduce to Retropie, I was 3 years late judging on how it was so evolve already, but was as it worth it! i got to relieve all my favorite childhood video games! those arcade days where i will spend so many coins just to play marvel vs capcom, metal slug, KOF, street fighters or spend so many nights player command and conquer in ps1, or visit a friend who owes a tekken3 games so we can have a go for hours and of course watch Jenny the bat transform in Bloody Roar 3! its all in the tip of my hands now!

That's the reason I'm here now, my aim is to re-create memories of my fellow 70s - 80s who grew up during 90s! this games are for you!
